I think one of the Worst Things about wanting to find period clothing from other cultures, is trying to find fucking casual/work clothes. Like no, I do not want to see all these fancy intricate kimonos, I want to see jinbei, and field work outfits so I don't put a damn obi on this poor boy so he has a belt to hang his knife from.

Being the only guy who works in a beauty store is fucking hilarious sometimes. Im the only one who can sell our shitty beard shampoo and a not insignificant amount of our customers think im untrustworthy. According to my coworkers i use every mens product we have so they can get dudes to buy a shaving cream. Trying to explain to people that theres no difference between "men's" and "women's" products is like talking to a brick wall. Ive had multiple women get angry with me for sampling them out one of our "men's" moisturizers when they specifically said they wanted a mattifying one to control oil and that's the best one we have for those two things. I still think about the guy who came in asking if we had "masks for men." I contemplate ending it all every time someone returns a completely unused product that they absolutely refuse to try just because it either says or doesnt say "for men" on it. 90% of the time its the perfect product for them. I had a lady who was willing to buy a worse product for her needs that was more expensive just so it wouldnt say it was for men. Are you ever tired? Are you ever exhausted? These are the same kinds of people who say that im the one whos obsessed with gendering everything because im trans.
hey guys i-
post cancelled. i'm putting my fish tank here instead

[image description: a tweet by prem_thakker that reads, "a huge international crowd came out of nowhere, bringing thousands more to the march on washington.
'from palestine to the philippines, stop the u.s. war machine!'
'from palestine to mexico, border walls have got to go!'
'from palestine to puerto rico, occupation is illegal!'"
below is a video of protestors marching with signs, flags, and banners. one banner in the front reads, "filipinos for palestine."]
Bisan just posted four videos on Instagram and is saying that they might be the last updates from Gaza since the Israeli army destroyed any way that could have been used to generate electricity including solar panels
bakeries were threatened that if they opened that they would be bombed. they ran out of petroleum and wheat and once they obtained some stock, they were bombed. no clean water to drink for four days now. water that can be obtained is not clean or drinkable. Israeli army dropped more phosphorus bombs and gas went all over Gaza. Bisan said her eyes, nose and mouth are burning and she has a headache. people are coughing and trying to find ways to cover themselves from breathing it in. paper notices were dropped telling people in Gaza that they have to evacuate and it's their last chance to go south, walking without using any vehicle. she said it's planned and all elements of genocide. this is awful
she said that even if they survive the white phosphorus, the bombing, that there is no food or clean water to drink and the only water they have is salt water from the sea. that they're trying to kill people with hunger and thirst and making them sick. from the beginning of the war they ate once a day but that's no longer the case. there are no products, no food, no aid, there's nothing. people are dying from hunger and there is zero aid that enters through
